Create markers on curves

Markers are fixed geometries that can be placed on a given target curve. This command allows you
to place or edit one marker and set its parameters

Steps

  1. Select the target curve you want to add the marker to or select the marker you want to edit
  2. Click two points on the curve to set the begin and the end of the marker
  3. Set the options in the window that shows up and click Ok (or press space)

Options

Marker size and position

  • Position (shortcut: W): Select the start and end point of the marker on the parent curve
  • Height: set the size of the marker
  • Offset: choose the distance from the target curve you want the place the marker
  • Flip (shortcut: T): use the flip button to choose the side of the offset
  • Bind on curve (shortcut: R): check it to force the marker to stay with one side on the target curve.
    Changing either the height or the offset will modify the other value consequently

Cap

  • Cap size: choose the size of the cap of the marker geometry
  • Cap flip (shortcut: E): use the flip button to choose the side you want the cap to be placed on
