Lock distance between curves
J_LockBaseLine
Lock distance between graded curves
Use this command if you want the distance between two base curves to remain constant
even in different sizes of the model. The curve selected first will grade following basic settings,
while the second selected will be translated to maintain the distance with the first, in a
“master-slave” like relation.
Steps
- Select a grade center to assign to the “master” curve
- Select the “slave” curve, then pick a point on it to maintain at a fixed distance to the one on the master curve
- Select the master curve, then pick a point on it
Remarks
If another different grading rule were applied to the slave curve, you will be prompted
to warn you and let you choose whether to overwrite it.
